Make Your Battery Last

Today's report from Walker Automotive is on vehicle batteries, why they die and what we can do to lengthen their life. Most of us have had a dead battery at one time or another. In fact, it would be very unusual if you hadn't. You may be surprised to learn that only 30 percent of Wilmot vehicle batteries last for 48 months. Now that's an average. They are able to head off problems from underinflation by closely monitoring tire pressure on the track. It's up to your vehicle's manufacturer to determine which of many TPMS systems available they'll use to comply with the law.Obviously, all of this doesn't come free for Wilmot drivers. Government studies have estimated the net costs. Of course, the TPMS system itself will cost something. Maintaining the syste ... read more
