Having the vehicle serviced is now a pleasure instead of a nightmare! I actually ENJOY taking my vehicle to Walker Automotive. The folks there are honest and up-front about the work being done, and always explain everything in as much detail as you wish. They mechanics are thorough, and are also happy to explain specifics of any work done. The process is quick and efficient, and if there is a delay (for parts or otherwise), you will be informed straight away. Furthermore, all the staff members are very friendly. The waiting room is so comfortable and pleasant, I almost always just wait for work to be done -- plus, you meet the nicest people while waiting. I strongly believe in supporting local businesses and products whenever possible, and this is one I can highly recommend.

I have always had professional and excellent service at Walker. This particular time, after having battery problems twice over the weekend, I called at 8:00 Monday morning and asked if I could come in right away and have the battery replaced because I needed the car for a trip out of town for much of the day. (Monday is always a busy day for auto shops, I believe). Walker Garage checked first to see if they had the correct battery (they did) and said they could work me in at 10:00 and I could be out before 10:30. Done! I was very grateful. This is representative of how Walker treats it's customers.

After years of working with another local body-shop, I brought my 2004 Trailblazer to Nathan's team so they could get to the bottom of my noisy front-end. Being accustomed to getting up-sold on virtually every minor service, and expecting to get a smelly and dirty "loaner" for the day, I was not ready for the experience that was about to unfold. Arriving at Walkers this morning, I was pleased to see a clean and spacious waiting room with a fish tank, magazines, and kids toys … a series of historic town photos lined the corridor to the front desk. The team was highly organized and pleasant, and quickly sent me on my way to the dreaded loaner car – which turned out to be freshly vacuumed, extremely clean, and did not have a hint of “loaner car smell”. Being quite used to rusted holes in the loaner car floor (through which I could see the road), I was very happy to exit the car at work, just as clean as when I left my home that morning. I got up-sell call a little later….(which turned out to be a down-sell call)…I authorized them to replace a wheel bearing and align my tires (instead of what I expected to be a full frontal-plasty). 4 hours later when settling the bill, I was informed that they didn’t need to perform the alignment afterall, so my bill was another $99.00 less than what I was expecting. This is the first time that I have not felt taken advantage of at a body shop – today my car was not the only one serviced….I was serviced – remarkably well. Thank you Walker Automotive!!
